“Senate Bill 1494 requires the Department to establish an advisory council to provide recommendations to the Department regarding medical marijuana testing. The Department is required to submit a report of the advisory council’s findings and recommendations by December 31, 2019.”
When SB1494 passed, it passed not only a 2-year mmj cards but passed mandatory testing in AZ. Testing should begin Nov 1. 2020
Now that the bill passed the ADHS can now form the creation of a 12 member advisory board to help write provisions that shape the program.
Members of the public should be aware that the Testing Advisory Council is still accepting testing-advisory-council-application at M2Dispensaries@azdhs.gov
Even if you don’t apply to the council, Stay involved with the industry and know what’s happening.. they have scheduled dates long in advance, there is no need to say you’ve been left out of the process.

The Medical Marijuana Testing Advisory Council shall make recommendations to the Department about:
Establishing a required testing program
Testing and potency standards for medical marijuana
Procedural requirements for collecting, storing, and testing samples of medical marijuana
Reporting results to patients and the Department
Remediation and disposal requirements for medical marijuana that fails to meet testing standards
