Nature’s Medicines Donates Over 19,000 Bottles of Water to Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS)
Nature’s Medicines, a non-profit medical marijuana dispensary, likes to help out in this arising community. Seeing homeless people throughout Phoenix struggling,
Nature’s Medicines decided to do something about it.
Four years ago, Nature’s Medicines started a summer water drive. They asked their customers
at both their Phoenix and Fountain Hills locations to donate bottles of water throughout June,
July and August. Their customers answered donating over 19,600 bottles of water. Nature’s donated the water they collected to Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS).
CASS helps thousands of homeless Arizonans each year with housing, food, hygiene, employment, childcare and much more. Imagine being homeless in the Arizona heat. There are approximately 6,000 homeless men, women, and children in the Phoenix area. One of their most fundamental needs in the summer months is water.
Traci Black, General Manager of Nature’s Medicines in Arizona said, “ We are so proud to be able to give back to the community with this small gesture and are grateful for our customers’ generosity and support of our annual water drive.”
Nature’s Medicines is happy to contribute to CASS and plans to continue this effort for years to come!
